Asian Network for Disaster Management a Non- Governmental Organization Registered under Indi- an Trust Act, is working towards community based development of awareness and preparedness programs, mock drill based disaster education, improving the communication technology about global warming. Train the marginalized communities in Disaster prone areas in the state of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry and other states in India from loss of lives, cattle, economi- cal loss, ecological loss, environmental loss, Physical and Mental Trauma, damage/loss of property and instu- tionalize a culture of network among the civil society organizations/institutions towards disaster preparedness among them and develop their capacity building.

ANDM .Minimize and Mitigate Hazard, Risks and Vulnerability, Education on Disaster Management, and Mitigation through better planning process, Training, Social Support, Community Based Disaster Risk Management and encouraging a culture of net- work on Disaster preparedness with institutionaliza- tion of Disaster Management in the District, State, National and International level.

ANDM To assess the vulnerability factors in the mar- ginalized communities consisting of fishers folks, Dalit’s, tribes and other vulnerable communities in the state of Tamilnadu, Puducherry and other states in India and Asian countries to identity their capacity to cope with disaster before, during and after event.
